The Hottest Day Of The Year So Far…

Today was the hottest day of the year so far and was HOT! Today I decided to take a little trip east along the coast to Hayling Island again. We had already been a place a couple of times this year, but rather than go all the way to the south side of the island, and I shot the old derelict rail bridge and the surrounding water.

There are some beautiful places to take images on the south coast, but as I have said many times before, people only ever seem to notice that beauty from head height. Hidden patterns emerge when you start looking from higher up, looking down on the world.

The one thing that I did notice today was how high the temperature was creeping into the battery compartment. I knew that it would be difficult to keep in the sun for too long, but when I started to “cook” while in the shade, you have to spare a thought for all the electronics on-bored your drone. I would say that short flights and keeping moving helped. But don’t forget to keep an eye on the battery temps if you want to stop your expensive equipment from exploding in the air!
